Out of a sudden I can hit doubles really well. That's nice for a start.
Just now after RT, I went to causeway point to makan and have some mini-shopping. After that I went to K Pool to play best-of-5 game with Siyan. Game was really tight, I won first 2 games, Siyan won 3rd and 4th, and it was up to the last black ball in the fifth game for the decider. I decided to try for a double-last since the black ball was at the 3/4 corner side of the pool table. And wow... I am usually bad at double hits, but today I really was on fire hitting 3 doubles and getting the balls in!!! Therefore the score is Sharn 3 : 2 Siyan!!!
Nice pool sia. Big break from all the jubeat shyt. In fact I get annoyed whenever there are so many credits in the machine but the credits does not justify the 1 credit 1 person rule. Bleh.
Harsh work tomorrow... I better get enough sleep...
2009-08-28 超级星光大道第五季 ―對―踢館賽! (Part 3)
I just love 超级星光大道. The PK matches just gets as interesting as it can get. Singapore champions going there to compete, Olivia going there to compete... And the angmoh who sings so good!!!
It's back to OT-ing nowadays as more orders are coming in. Friday I OT until 11+pm then went to amkhub by cab to meet john... only to know that john had left the place already(and he said he will stay until arcade close sia, tio fly aeroplane). Instead I saw Kimberlyn when I reached and she was also leaving too(I reached around 12 midnight). Bleh. Anyway Sunday possibly OT-ing again(dunno whether RT will help me siam sunday OT anot, god knows, but what I know is Sunday, which is today, I cannot go too far de arcade to play jubeat ripples as my RT camp is at khatib. So back to AMKhub possibly at night. And hopefully they upgraded to ripples by then).
Yesterday, I slept till 2pm only to be awaken by an sms that say ripples has reached sg. So I went down to Plaza Sing to check and really... loads of credits in the new machine is what I found out. And James and me and EVEN kurobe can see who the spammers really are(though he may not admit it). Kurobe is abit of a gentlemen today as he didn't hog the machine, hmm... maybe my impression of him will change that little bit.
Either way out of the 4.5 hrs I was there I played only 4 games, and one of the games was after Kurobe group left for dinner I tap another credit to continue play on THEN I can manage to play 4 games. If not I will play one game lesser. 4 machines at dbg + ps combined, yet average 1 hr play only 1 time. I shldn't complain I guess, afterall I shld be happy that ripples came in faster than I thought.
Cause of ripples, I was LATE for the pool and dinner session with Edwin and Siyan. Just imagine us having dinner at Subway ard 2150... Well playing ripples doesn't make me feel hungry anyway. LOL. Actually playing too many ripples I will also feel sianz as I am starting to feel now, sure ripple's fun... But although today was the first day of ripples in sg, I still decided to go play pool and meet friends up for dinner. Afterall, my life is not all about Jubeat(so people start to jio me out. If not I sianz at home sure will go play more ripples. Doesn't matter if it is pool, ktv, movies, MJ, or even lans. And where is my sentosa outing zzz how can delay!!! Well Panda's birthday bbq is coming up so I will have fun on that day).
My activities seems to have drastically narrowed. Where are all the ktv pubbings and outings and lans. Hmm. Although I have been watching more movies... But definitely arcading has taken out most of my time now. Weird. Oh well since weekdays normally no one jio me out for outing, I will probably still continue ripple-ing on weekdays. And try to have other activities for weekends(more esplanade concert exposure!!!).

Today is the first time I took this very expensive cab. I was late for work and saw many pple queuing up for cabs and decided to call cab but saw this available Chrysler cab... I thought the price of sitting on this expensive cab will be the same as calling a normal cab and so I took it...
Apparently, a normal cab cost 16 bucks from my house to my workplace.
Normal cab + booking fees during peak hours is 20 bucks.
Chrysler cab without booking fees is... 27 bucks.
Ouch.
That's one real expensive limousine. I prefer mercedes to Chrysler anytime.
There is a reason for such a title. I played 7 games of Jubeat yesterday and 2 games the day before. Trying to full combo/SSS some of the easier songs. Frankly I think I am much better than, let's say, 1 month ago de Sharn.

One of the trickiest advanced songs to fc. So many... odd notes at odd placings. But the beat is easy to catch hence the high score.
I wanted to SSS and fc this song, but got an extra surprise... I got only 1 small little twinny blue bar. I can excellent it I think, but still wants to go for Yell first (stubborn me).

After jubeating on Satuday night(or rather sunday morning), me and John went to iluma(As it closes at 2am on saturday) to meet Lushy. Played some PnM(damn hard la the game!!!) and taiko no tatsujin 12. What I can say is, I can definitely pass Hard difficulty 7 and 8 stars already without much problem in taiko. And taiko is a game that makes me sweat and sweat in an air-con environment, definitely good to shed some weight off and training of arm muscles!!! Now will try spamming oni level 6 songs and clear them all before going to oni lv7 songs.
After taiko-ing we went to some indian restaurant place near sunshine plaza. Ate the fried chicken + rice there. Then went to Cathay Cineleisure for a late(or early) 0415 orphan movie. Haha what a time to watch a suspense/thriller movie!!! Okok. Long time no go theatre see movie le. And I really wanted to watch this show cause I love suspense/horror shows. Orphan is a very nice 2 hr show, in that the development of the story already took the first half of the movie(with some suspense moments) and the 2nd half of the movie is the climax where the orphan reveals it's true colours. I didn't read the reviews so I didn't know what the story is about but roughly know what it is due to the trailers. However, the ending is what makes this movie so good....
I could never have imagined that the orphan is a 33year old lady stucked in a 9 year old girl look due to some disease/cancer/ whatever.
Watching the show at 0415 makes the movie more sweet~ The only disappointment I got from this movie is that there are too little to no scary or shock moments. Sure it's not a scary horror movie, but suspense shows like this ought to give more scare.
Overall, I feel this is a great movie. 4/5 stars if I were to rate it, partly because I watched it quite "early" too. A very enjoyable show.
Friday was nice. I finally did something other than drinking and jubeating. Went out with Yan and eddie at night to play pool @ Meridien. Ate dinner there too, played from 8+pm to 11pm before heading to Parklane to continue our pooling cause Yan and eddie didn't like how the pool balls were "rebounding" off the edge at the pool tables at Meridien. While walking from Meridien to Parklane in the middle I went to PS to play some drummania v6 games since jubeat machines are alrdy hogged... Love drummania more and more!!! I think I got an S for Blue Bird(Naruto theme song) advance difficulty le. Wee~
After drummania we went to Parklane continue pooling until 2am... Then took the nightrider home. It is then that I know SBS nightrider last bus is at 0230 while the tibs nightriders last bus is at 0400. Argh. Thanks eddie for telling me that. Absolutely fun day!!! I think I am loving pool more and more(the only bad thing is, I don't like pool tables that have little to no friction cause the white balls tend to go into the hole rather easily).
Saturday... whole afternoon I was chionging animes!!! Watch finished K-on already(the series is so god damn short when it is so nice TT, Mio is just so cute~~~) and started on Suzumiya Haruhi(2009). Finished watching the first 4 episodes of Suzumiya Haruhi already. As usual, Haruhi is a weird but absolutely nice anime!!! From episode 2 to 4 the storyline was almost the same... some variations, but almost an exact repeat of the previous episode. Still, the variations builds deeper into the storyline of the repeated time cycle from august 11th to august 31st... What must Kyon do???( am eager to know too!!!) Weird but interesting animes like this absolutely catch my attention. The first series of Haruhi was even weirder with all the episodes purposely jumbled out, but that's what makes it soooooo unique.
Then at night went to dbg to meet John. Went up to PS for a game of jubeat and 4 games of drummania... yeah I play more drummania than jubeat now. Broke one record at PS!!! Frankly I am aiming for a full combo of this song(Yeah I haven't fc yet cause some parts of the song are so tricky for a lv6). Didn't manage to fc it, but improved my high score!!! My perfs are really getting better(due to spammage of hard songs Rintoshite again i think). Gonna try to fc it next time.
I am by no means a pro in Beatup. Just love this mode though, it's fun!!! Any player with the love of Beatup can definitely be as good as me, if not even better.
